'Moonlit Flight' - fused glass artwork

‘Harvest Moon’ is a dreamy, fused glass artwork that captures the majestic essence of a moonlit coastal landscape, where a delicate interplay of colour, light, and movement unfolds.

A white base glass has been painted with gorgeous late sunset hues of glass enamels with 22.65 Karat gold foil creating a touch of radiance to create a shimmering full moon. A beautiful deep inky blue streaky glass is fused to the base layer in the glass kiln before being screen-printed with layers of the gliding seagulls. The artwork is finished by adding delicate flake of iridescent glass to add moonlit sparkles on the sea. The piece is then gently refired in the glass kiln to bring all these elements together.
